Relocation Data Coming In

We have the first data on "relocation assignments" via e-mails from a number of parents. Schools represented thus far include Holy Trinity, Good Shepherd, St. Margaret Mary, Holy Cross and Catherine McAuley.

Click here to see the spreadsheet (then click on the tabs at the top of the page for your school). As new data comes in, the spreadsheet will be updated on a daily basis.

Please submit your own relocation information via e-mail to gssparents@gmail.com, noting:

1. Your current school
2. The school where your child (or children) has been placed for '08-'09
3. The grades that your children will be entering next year

All e-mails will be kept private; only the rolled-up numbers will be made public.

We're seeing a trend at Holy Cross (unscientific as our data is) regarding placements. It seems that no matter what order you listed your choices, if 1 of them was MOS - that's where you went. For example, 2 families (same grade levels)listed CTK as 1st choice - 1 family had MOS as 2nd choice, 1 had nothing else. The ones with MOS was sent there. They are now questioning how they pick and chose who got slot. From what I read on the SMM blog the same is happening there with St. John Newman being their default. Our theory is that when they closed certain schools, they already new where they wanted to boost enrollment and place our kids. Can anyone else comment on this? You know we will never get a straight answer fron the DOR.
