Holy Cross Encourages Parishoners to Voice their Concerns

In this past weekend's bulletin, Fr. Wheeland (pictured) from Holy Cross encourages his parishioners to make their voices heard with regard to Catholic education. This comes in anticipation of the Diocese reaching classroom and school size limits, with its "expert" task force having grossly underestimated the re-enrollment rates for displaced students.

I think that if the diocese doesn't open some more schools we should pick a day and pull all of our children out at once, BOTH the current and relocated students at the overcrowded schools. I'm sick of paying money and then having no say. Class sizes of 30 are not necessary for a school to break even. Several parent groups have already proven that with their independent plans. It's supposed to be a faith-based EDUCATION. Our children shouldn't be packed in like slaves on a ship or cattle on their way to the market (both comments I've seen on the internet). Maybe we should pick a date during the Pope's US visit?
At the same time, we should stop paying all pledges to the CMA and withhold our envelopes. Since very few priests in the diocese will even speak out about this plan, let them share in the consequences! They can have their money when they stop treating our children like a commodity.
